dreaming of Hogsmeade

Wow, I'm glad I did my very bad thing last week and not this week--it was disappointing to miss out on Quidditch, but let's face it: I'm rubbish at it anyway, and Ravenclaw prolly did better without me. But if I'd missed the Hogsmeade visit! Now that would have been truly tragic.

Just being outside will be wonderful. The grounds here are wonderful of course, but the excitement of GOING SOMEWHERE, of DOING SOMETHING NEW! is intoxicating. (And no, Neila, not in a "Sera's been hitting the Firewhiskey" kind of way!)

I still need a few things for my swap kit: a few sweets, some things for stitch markers, and a couple of other surprises. I'm hoping to pick up a few things for myself, too, although the KnitPicks owl I received a few days ago seemed to think that the words "yarn diet" should be in my future...

I'm quite happy for the term break. I've been working really hard these last few weeks, and it's gotten to the point where I go to sleep and dream about all the work that I should be doing. How can you feel rested when you wake up from that? Hogsmeade should be exactly what I need--and hopefully my Raven friends and I can get up to a little mischief!

Mischief? What? Oh, not us, never. ;)
